WNYC's Radio Lab is Awesome & Fun

I should seriously start a blog where I JUST talk about how often I agree with Seth Godin. Seriously. Anyway. He's right again, but it's not about business or marketing or anything like that this time, it's just a matter of taste. It seems that Seth is a fan of awesomeness, I mean, WNYC's Radio Lab.

It's an awesome show, and very informative. I've actually been working on an "essay" about a particular episode of Radio Lab for ALMOST A YEAR because it is SO packed full of useful information.

Check out Seth's post here: The best podcast/radio show of all time

Check out the episode I've been writing about for A YEAR here: Choice

The reason I've been listening to, thinking about, and reading about this episode for just shy of a year is that it's full of awesome info on the nature of decision making, and as a designer; someone who attempts to affect decision making using hard to define qualitative methods, the implications this information is fundamental and far-reaching.

Also, if you're interested in this sort of thing, I am in the middle of listening to/reading (yes, both) Martin Lindstrom's Buy-ology: Truth and Lies About Why We Buy. It's pretty good so far...although he talks so much about himself and the implications of the research that I wish I could have bought an abridged version that JUST had the research and results.

Check it out, and use the info to become a better designer!
